From Kathy Kessler and Him BeseauJuly 31st, 2010 Our Great Train Escapes with Tyson Verse We have been on 2 of Alki’s trips with Tyson and are still in awe of his attention to detail. We know that he doesn’t need any build up with Alki but we feel that we need to do this. He operates in such a way that makes you feel you are the only one on the trip. We know that he can’t show favorites but somehow he makes everyone at one time feel that they are his favorite. Everyone, especially seniors want to feel they are favorite or important and he somehow gave that to all of us without slighting anyone. To me that is the mark of a good politician. We found Alki Tours in our AAA Magazine a few years ago and are more then pleased with the attention to detail and types of trips you provide. Our first trip was the Colorado Trains and this summer we just returned from the 5 National Parks tour. We plan on coming back in the future so keep planning the great tours and don’t let Tyson get away. He is great! Until the next trip, keep those wheels rolling. Kathy Kessler & Him Beseau Janet SlezakMarch 16th, 2011 Dear Alki Tours, The comment space was not large enough for my comments regarding the Egypt “Supervalue” trip in January. What a well orchestrated tour, from the time we all gather at SeaTac, met up with our guide, Tyson, to landing in Egypt, it all ran like clockwork. After our arrival, the tour continued without any glitches, very smoothly run and with the help of the Egyptologist and the Egyptian Tour Guide, we had a most amazing tour of Egypt. I would equate it as one of the best tours ever been on. The group was fun to travel with, no grouches at all, and with Tyson’s great sense of humor and skillful guidance, we all saw and did everything that was pertinent to our tour. When things broke down on Friday, with the protestors in Aswan, we still were so well cared for and kept safe. Tyson made decision after decision that put our safety first, keeping us calm and informed. I can’t thank Alki Tours enough for this skillful guide and your support. To this day, I don’t know who paid for the food and water that was brought to the airport by our two Egyptian guides, who did this under great direness. I’m assuming Tyson took care of it through Alki Tours, and for that I thank you. Our fortune was to have Tyson and the Egyptian guides with us, caring for and seeing to our needs. It was a very difficult time, but because of them, we made it without falling apart. Also Alki Tours was very helpful to my family and many friends who were so concerned about my safety and the safety of the group. Your courtesy on the phone was so appreciated knowing how stress out you must have been also. It was so frustrating not to be able to contact family, and you handled that beautifully for us. My plans will be to do further travel with Alki and to recommend you to anyone that is interested in traveling. My Deepest Thanks, From Heike WoodDearest Tyson, Thank you so much for bringing my parents home safely from Egypt! As long as I can remember, a trip to Egypt has been one of my mom’s dreams! I am so glad that she got to go. My parents have always enjoyed the trips so much through Alki Tours and this was no exception, the trip of a lifetime. Knowing that they have always had great experiences with you, when all of the trouble started in Egypt, I wasn’t too worried, just thankful that they were with you and not travelling on their own. I talked to my mom when she got home and said she wouldn’t trade the trip they just had for the world. Thank you for keeping them safe, for getting them home without too much turmoil and for helping fulfill a lifelong dream. Sincerely, Heike Wood From Elizabeth & Kenn GrayHi Diane, just a quick note to wish you a very merry Christmas and healthy 2011. We had such a grand time on the snow train on the 11th – went on a sleigh ride as well. Lots of snow so it was festive. Your traveling entertainers are WUNDERVAR and so kind to everybody. Made us laugh a lot too! My only complaint is that we didn’t win any of the raffle prizes, bah! Thanks again for your hard work and dedication to making our wishes come true! Elizabeth & Kenn Gray From Kai Moldskred and FamilyHello Molly, I was just talking with Michelle at Evening Magazine and she gave me your name and email information. My husband, two children and I were fortunate to win the Leavenworth Snow Train tickets for last Saturday. We had so much fun and we wanted to extend our sincere “Thanks” to anyone involved in making this event possible for us. Michelle indicated that Alki Tours was the business who actually donated the tickets to the program. I am not sure if you actually work for Alki Tours or not. If not, would you please forward this email to them for me? This was the first time any of us had been on a train, and my two children were very excited. We really did not know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised at everything we discovered during the trip. The train was festively decorated and all the entertainment really put us in the Christmas spirit. All the attendants were very nice and attentive. Thanks should go to Gretchen’s as well since they put together wonderful breakfast and dinner boxes. Leavenworth with all its Christmas lights was beautiful! We truly cannot thank everyone involved enough for this opportunity, and we will try to pay-it-forward by doing something nice for someone else this holiday season as well. We wish you all a Very Merry Holiday Season! Sincerely, Kai Moldskred and Family From Sheila Walker and Betty BaylorA short note about our recent trip to Whistler. This was my first trip on Alki Tours. I went with a Dear Friend, Betty Baylor. I can not say this enough, Sheri Rosenberg, was an excellant Guide. She really cared for each one of us. The driver, Ariel, was an Amazing Driver. These two ladies, made a Wonderful team together. When planning future Trips, one of our questions will be, can you tell me who are the driver & Guide. Every person on this Trip, could not stop talking about these two. I hope Alki Tours know what an Asset they are! Thanks, Sheila Walker & Betty Baylor From Paul SimsJust finished the ride through New England. CAn’t say enough about how trouble free Louis made the trip. Between he and Hank (driver) every event went smoothly for the us. Weather wasn’t the most cooperative, yet the group and Louis’s skill and area knowledge overcame it. Thanks again for a memorable ride. Paul Sims From Margaret WhatleyI just returned from Washington DC with Alki tours. It was my first overnight trip with a tour group and I was pleasantly surprised. Our tour guide Tyson Verse was very professional, approachable and organized. I would especially like to thank him for pointing me towards the Navy Memorial and the Blessing of the Fleet. I will definatly be recommended Alki tours to my friends. Sincerely, Margaret Whatley From Joanie GuggenmosCherry Blossom Parade in Washington DC is awesome.
